Planning a trip to El Nido can be difficult, El Nido Tours strives to provide a delightful vacation from planning to arrival and even beyond your leaving paradise. Of course for those looking at coming to El Nido tons of questions arise. No worries we are here to assist you. If there are questions that aren’t covered here please don’t hesitate to contact us!


Are children discounted?

For chidlren under 6 years old tours are 50% off. Accommodation and vans are still standard prices.


What should I bring to the island?

  • Sunscreen
  • Bug spray
  • Tampons- These can be difficult to find though there are always sanitary napkins at most pharmacies.
  • Any special medication
  • Motion sickness for those who get car sick. The van ride is 5 hours and has some windy parts on it.
  • Water shoes
  • Binoculars
  • Camera
  • Underwater camera

Can I pay by credit card?
The majority of establishments in El Nido accept only cash. For payment of tour packages we provide two options.

Upon initial booking request, you will receive a summary of the transaction.

For booking, we require confirmation of airline tickets to El Nido or to Puerto Princesa. In addition, a downpayment of 30% of the total quote to confirm the booking.

After receiving the deposit, we will provide you with a summary of the deposit and the remaining balance to be paid one week before arrival. A deposit is fully refundable provided cancellation notice by email is given at least one month prior to the booked arrival date.


How much money should I bring?
Our suggestion is to bring enough cash to El Nido to cover your costs during your trip. There is one unreliable ATM machine at the moment.

How do I get to El Nido?

Option 1: Direct flight from Manila to El Nido: The easiest, fastest, but most expensive way to get to El Nido from Cebu or Manila is to take a straight flight in.

Option 2: Fly into Puerto Princesa then take a van or bus into town.
Flights from Manila and Cebu are daily. There are also weekly flights from Iloilo. Check this for the flight schedule for Philippine Airlines, Air Asia, and Cebu Pacific.

What can I see in El Nido?
There are 4 different island hopping tours, the most popular being Tour A and Tour C (though Tour B and Tour D are just as beautiful and less crowded). Additionally, there are many beaches on the mainland including Nacpan Beach (Twin Beaches), Duli Beach, San Fernando and many other off-the-beaten path destinations. If you are in town you can kayak to Cadlao Island, Papaya Beach, 7 Commandoes, or Pinagbuyutan Island. There are tons of snorkeling destinations near El Nido town as well as on tours. Whatever your needs we can customize itineraries based on your preferences.

How many days should I spend in El Nido?

Given the amount of time and effort, it takes to get here plus the number of sites to visit we typically recommend a minimum of 4 days and 3 nights. That will cover your time in transit this gives you enough time to do at least 2 tours.
A 4D/3N itinerary would look like this:
Day 1- Pick up from Puerto Princesa airport on a shared shuttle. Then 5 hour van ride to El Nido
Day 2- Tour C
Day 3- Tour A
Day 4- morning van from El Nido to Puerto Princesa
or
Nacpan Beach trip then afternoon van if flight is the following day
